HCTC 2025 – 8 Sessions, One Big Learning Curve
HCTC 2025 was one of those events where you don’t just attend—you live it.
This year was a bit different for me. Instead of just participating, I had the opportunity to present 8 sessions, and honestly, it was both exciting and exhausting in the best way possible.
Stepping into 8 sessions
Doing one session is manageable.
Doing multiple sessions across days? That’s a different game.
Each session had a different audience:
- Some were functional
- Some were technical
- Some were focused on strategy and future direction
What stood out the most was how engaged people were. The questions weren’t basic—they were real, practical, and coming from actual challenges teams are facing today.
The scale of HCTC 2025
The 2025 HCTC brought together 1,350+ attendees, creating a meaningful and lasting impact for everyone involved.
Harris had a strong presence, with multiple Business Units engaging directly with customers and partners, including:
Advanced Utility Systems, Altera Digital Health, Cayenta, Cogsdale, DataVoice, Harris ERP, Ingenious Med, inHANCE, NorthStar Utilities Solutions, ServiceLink, SmartWorks, System Innovators, and Systems & Software.
Beyond sessions, the event had some great moments to connect:
- The “InvoiceCloud FEST” cocktail beach party
- The Beetlejuice-themed Paymentus banquet (definitely memorable!)
What I personally appreciated was the focus on sustainability:
- Reduced paper through mobile apps
- No single-use plastics
- Eco-friendly giveaways
Plus, travel emissions were offset through Tradewater—resulting in over 1,100 tons of CO₂e recaptured, which is equivalent to:
- 2.8 million miles driven
- or powering 148 homes for a year
And one of the most meaningful parts—giving back:
Together with Paymentus, the event supported the Make-A-Wish Foundation through a fun “Snow Globe Flying Cash Challenge,” leading to a $25,000 donation.

What people really cared about
Across my sessions and conversations, a few themes kept coming up:
🔹 Business Central evolution
Organizations are moving beyond implementation—they want:
- better automation
- stronger workflows
- tighter integrations
- meaningful reporting
🔹 AI (and real use cases)
The conversation has shifted from hype to execution:
“How do I actually use AI in my day-to-day work?”
🔹 Data & insights
There’s growing interest in:
- Power BI
- Microsoft Fabric
- real-time visibility
People are looking for answers faster—not just more reports.
What I personally took away
Presenting 8 sessions pushes you in a good way.
You learn to:
- simplify your message
- adapt quickly to different audiences
- focus on what actually matters
A few things that stood out for me:
- Practical demos always win
- Real scenarios > feature lists
- People remember outcomes, not screens
The conversations between sessions
Some of the best insights didn’t come from the stage—they came from:
- hallway chats
- quick follow-ups
- coffee conversations
That’s where you hear:
- real project challenges
- lessons learned
- what’s working (and what’s not)
Final thought
Presenting 8 sessions was a great experience—but more than that, it was a reminder:
Expectations are evolving fast.
Organizations are not just looking for systems anymore.
They’re looking for solutions that actually make their work easier and smarter.
HCTC 2025 definitely reinforced that. Looking forward for HCTC 2026
